authors I want to read thisyear

Writers are readers. That’s usually how it starts. I’m certainly no exception to that rule.

I’m not a fast reader, though, so I won’t be reading hundreds of books a year. In fact, I’ll be lucky if I make it to ten. With that in mind, I created my reading list for this year. On this list, you’ll find mainly Indie authors, but of course the name of Brandon Sanderson couldn’t be left out.

So, without further ado, I present my reading list.

  1. Brandon Sanderson – Rhythm of War
  2. Ryan Cahill – Of Blood and Fire
  3. Anat Eliraz – Jewels of Smoky Quartz
  4. C. Borden – Short Stories from Mythnium
  5. Suzanne Rogerson – Silent Sea Chronicles
  6. Alicia Chapin – Remnants of Magic
  7. Kathryn Reynolds – Shadows of the Seasons
  8. Liz Delton – Sylvia in the Wilds
  9. C.K. Duncan – Dragon’s Stone

What will you be reading this year?

6 Thoughts on “My Reading List”

  • I have a VERY long list already, but a few I’m really excited about are:
The Broken Earth Trilogy and The City We Became by N.K. Jemisin
    On Writing by Stephen King
In the Dream House by Carmen Maria Machado
Finishing up the Mistborn Trilogy – Brandon Sanderson

  • I’m been writing a lot more than reading in 2020, but I just started The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue because I kept coming across good reviews for it.

    • Ha, me too. More writing than reading. Even with the lockdowns, it’s still hard to find time to do everything you want to do.
