Traces of Forgotten Times
Through the Author’s Lens
A house full of STUFF that needed to be cleared. Empty boxes. Rusty tools. Half-decayed Tupperware. Knickknacks.
Creative projects in several stages of complete. Some more aesthetically pleasing than others.
Old photographs. Memories.

And then… books
Gorgeous antique books. Some better preserved than others. But all of them more beautifully made than today’s cheap mass produced or POD books.
These two, dating back to 1877 and 1878, are the poetry collections Laatste der Eerste (Last of the First), and Eerste Gedichten (First Poems), by Dutch poet and theologian Petrus Augustus de Génestet.

I can’t wait to read them.
My parents have passed on, but I’ll treasure these books (and many others) for as long as I live.
